Table Tennis Ball Machine with User Interface and Training Modes

Producción científica: Capítulo del libro/informe/acta de congresoContribución a la conferenciarevisión exhaustiva

Resumen

This research project focuses on the conception and development of a prototype of a table tennis ball-throwing machine, with the primary objective of practicing and training in this sport, especially for players in their initial phase. This research is based on three essential pillars: mechanical design, the integration of electronic systems and the creation of a user experience. The user interface allows the selection of different game modes (Forehand drive, Backhand drive and Topspin). In the validation stage, extensive testing is carried out covering ball launch accuracy, user-friendliness of the user interface and overall user perception. The results showed that the system achieved moderate accuracy across all modes, with hit rates of 65 %, 45 %, and 60 % respectively.
