TSC Innovation is a structural modeling company. Pioneer of the VDC methodology and BIM technology in Peru. Virtual Design Construction (VDC) is a collaborative methodology that seeks greater quality, safety and efficiency. Under the principles of VDC and the culture of the company, seeking the highest quality and efficiency, this thesis aims to improve the process of assigning structural modeling tasks to reduce late shipments to the manufacturing plant of Aceros Arequipa Corporation to less than 5 %. For this, it was necessary to be able to estimate the time of completion of each task and subsequently redesign the assignment process. To estimate the modeling time, different methods were tested, concluding by using a formula with the variables: weight of the structure, modeling ratio, experience of the modeler and familiarization with the project. On the other hand, for the redesign of the process, using the Job Assignment Problem optimization problems, Unrelated Parallel Machine Scheduling and the GRASP algorithm, an algorithm is developed in Python. The algorithm is connected to the project schedules, these in turn to a structural BIM model and these to the production line of the Aceros Arequipa Corporation, managing to digitize the entire value chain. As a result, the process time was reduced from 4-5 hours to only 25-30 minutes and from 3 agents involved to a single agent involved, increasing the productivity of its workers.
