Mejora del proceso de abastecimiento de cemento a granel de la unidad minera Tambomayo a través de un modelo operacional alternativo

Abstract

Buenaventura is one of the most important mining companies in the country. Among its mining units, one of the main ones is Tambomayo. For this underground mine, the cement is a critical and necessary supply for the exploration and extraction mining stage, specifically for the shotcrete operation. However, the supply process of this input is deficient, the losses generated by stand by in the first half of the year 2019 amounted to S/. 119,000.00, this penalty is charged by the transport company when the tracts that make the transport of the resource are stopped and stop generating value to the operation. This thesis evaluates the feasibility of implementing a logistics hub on the route to the mine as part of the cement supply chain to reduce stand-by losses, through the analysis and comparison of simulations of the current scenario (without hub) and the proposed scenario (with hub), taking into consideration the response times and risks associated with a request. Additionally, this thesis proposes recommendations associated with the implementation of the hub.
