N2 - With the arrival of old age to human beings, bodily diseases have become more frequent. One of the most famous is knee osteoarthritis, which progressively and degeneratively affects this joint. For this reason, the activities that allow the rehabilitation of patients are becoming more important today. Based on this, the present research seeks to obtain the general outline of the process to follow to design an orthosis, both active and passive, for older adults with gonarthrosis disease. To achieve this objective, research was developed from various sources, and a series of methodologies with several steps were used to delimit the specific topic. As a result, a general scheme was obtained with six processes to follow to design an active orthosis.
