Abstract

Normally networks are identified with an IP and a subnet mask. To divide the network into logical subnets, it is necessary to modify the IPs (Internet Protocol) and the masks. In this work, subnets will be created but without modifying IPs or masks. What we will do is apply the VLAN-ID method (Virtual Local Area Network-Identifier), which consists of assigning each subnet to create an ID. This ID will also identify all the equipment in that subnet. This work applies the VLAN ID in an IWLAN (Industrial Wireless Local Area Network) through VAP (Virtual Access Point) in wireless PROFINET (industrial communications protocol from Siemens).
