title = "Embedded Temperature Control for Poultry Houses: Design, Simulation, and Experimental Validation",
abstract = "This paper presents the design and scaled validation of a modular embedded system for temperature control in broiler poultry houses. The proposed architecture includes a thermal prototype equipped with a ceramic heater, a ventilation fan, and a motorized curtain driven by a stepper motor. Control logic is executed on an ESP32 development board, while temperature sensing and transmission are handled by a RAK3172 module. A Python-based SCADA interface enables real-time monitoring and manual override. Three control strategies were considered: ON/OFF (implemented and experimentally validated), and PID and fuzzy logic (evaluated through simulation using identified plant models). Simulation results indicate that fuzzy logic controllers provide smooth actuator responses and minimal steady-state error, showing promising improvements in transient response compared to ON/OFF and PID. Experimental tests with ON/OFF control confirmed reliable operation and demonstrated the feasibility of low-cost embedded solutions for poultry environments. The modular design also allows future integration of advanced controllers with minimal code changes.",
