Abstract

This work is about the design and implementation of a low-cost training suitcase employed to carry out various Lab experiments for the Automatic Control course, which belongs to the B.S. degree programs in Electronics and Mechatronics Engineering at UTEC (Universidad de Ingenieria y Tecnologia, Lima, Peru). Such Labs were performed remotely in times of pandemic. In this post-pandemic year, the experiments will be developed face-to-face. In short, the suitcase contains a brushed D.C. (Direct Current) servomotor, a brushless D.C. servomotor, a stepper servomotor, a Siemens PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), an HMI (Human Machine Interface), an industrial Ethernet Switch, and the hardware to build a temperature control system. Such equipment permits the implementation of the required hand-in Labs for the above course in order to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
