Professional profile

My area of interest is oriented to structural design, analysis and detection of damage in both metallic and non-metallic structural materials and the characterization of materials. My master's and doctoral studies were oriented in the area of corrosion and the effect of hydrogen on steels, structural design and behavior of composite materials at impact loads. In my Post Doctorate position I worked in the area of structural design and characterization of materials for uses in wind turbine blades. I am currently developing research in the areas of biodegradable materials, specifically the use of natural fibers as insulation and as reinforcement in composite materials, characterization of materials used in soft robotics (elastomers), biomechanics, in addition to continuing to work in the area of corrosion and composite materials. On the other hand, I am a reviewer of scientific articles in the magazine "Energy and Building".
