Personal profile

Professional profile

Currently a professor at the University of Engineering and Technology - UTEC. Completed her second Postdoctorate in Chemical Engineering at the University of Sao Paulo (USP) in June 2013. Holds both Master’s and Doctorate degrees obtained from this institution. She has experience in petroleum characterization using spectroscopic techniques such as Near-Infrared (NIR), mass spectrometry, and fluorescence spectroscopy, applying multivariate and statistical mathematical methods to extract chemical information from the spectra and appropriately correlate it with physicochemical properties that aid in process control. These spectroscopic techniques are also applied in other fields of study, such as environmental contamination (sea, soil, air), polymer analysis, biochemistry, among others. She has experience in quality control analysis of petroleum and by-products under laboratory standards 17025, ASTM, and ISO 9000.
