Research interests

He is currently Assistant Professor in Computer Science at UTEC and is also the CEO & Co-Founder of Artificio. His previous work positions include two Postdoctoral Research positions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University. Prior to that, Professor Deza did his PhD in Dynamical Neuroscience at the University of California - Santa Barbara and his undergraduate degree in Mechatronic Engineering at the National University of Engineering (UNI). His current research is focused on creating hybrid perception systems. These are feature perception systems both inspired by biological and artificial systems to solve the problem of representational alignment, mainly applied to robust vision systems of both Abstract Art and Autonomous Cars.
