Dr. José Cerda-Hernández is a distinguished statistician and data scientist with a robust international career, recognized for his expertise in the study and modeling of complex phenomena. His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Statistics from the prestigious University of São Paulo (USP), complemented by Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Applied Mathematics from the National University of Engineering (UNI). His experience has been consolidated through postdoctoral research stays at global centers of excellence, including the University of São Paulo (USP), the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), and Oregon State University (USA). Dr. Cerda-Hernández is an experienced consultant in advanced statistical modeling and data analysis. He currently leads the Econometric Modeling and Data Science Research Group, focusing his efforts on the rigorous application of statistics and probability to solve critical real-world problems. His research areas are concentrated on cutting-edge methods and practical applications, including Econometrics and Spatial Statistics, Small Area Estimation (SAE), Statistical Learning, Time Series Analysis, Risk Theory, Stochastic Processes, and Applied Probability.
