Professional profile

Architect graduated from the UABJO, Mexico. Master in Art History from UNAM with honors and awarded the Alfonso Caso Medal for academic merit and best thesis in Art History. Doctor in Art History from the same institution, UNAM, and graduated with honors. He collaborated for 17 years in the project: Catalog of Artistic Goods with Patrimonial Value Contained in Religious Enclosures, of the Institute of Aesthetic Research of the UNAM. As well as head of the Department of Historical Studies and Research at the Institute of Cultural Heritage of the State of Oaxaca, Mexico. In teaching, he has worked as a professor at La Salle University, in the Master's Degree in Art History at UNAM and in the Master's Degree in Architecture at the San Antonio Abad National University of Cusco, Peru. Since 2013 he has been an active member of the international research seminar on La Plata in Spain and Mexico. 16th to 19th centuries of the INAH and since 2020 member of the international research seminar of Hispano-American Altarpieces of the UNAM. He was in charge of curating the Museum of the Temple of San Pedro Apóstol in Andahuaylillas, Peru. As well as the Plus Ultra exhibition, the common and the proper of New Spanish silverware at the Casa de México in Spain. He has also coordinated the exhibition in_visible, art seen by science, at the Pedro de Osma Museum, Peru. He has participated in national and international forums in Spain, Portugal, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru and the United States with conferences related to his main lines of research, digital humanities, silverware, altarpieces, painting and New Spanish and Peruvian viceroyalty architecture. He has published several articles on the same topics, as results of research stays carried out in Portugal, Italy, Spain, Peru and Ecuador.
