Professional profile

Graduate in Archeology from the PUCP. Master and Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He has been a fellow at Dumbarton Oaks, Trustees for Harvard University; National Science Foundation and Howard Heinz Endowment for Latin American Archeology. He has published articles on archeology and heritage management in specialized magazines and volumes and has been a university professor for more than fifteen years both in Peru and abroad. Among his topics of interest are heritage and its participatory management, anthropology of movement and interregional interactions. He has held various positions linked to heritage management such as General Coordinator of the Qhapaq Ñan Project-National Headquarters and General Director of Museums of the Ministry of Culture of Peru. He is currently Director and teacher of the Directorate of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences and Director of the Center for Impact and Social Responsibility of the University of Engineering and Technology - UTEC where he has been developing a research agenda on the relationship between science and society, as well as STEAM education.
