He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Universidad del Valle, Colombia; an MBA from Universidad Torcuato di Tella, Argentina; and a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. His expertise includes urban planning, circular economy in construction, social impact of road infrastructure, optimized parking systems, and the safety of biking and bikeways. He was granted an award by the Abertis Chair in Transport Infrastructure Management and others related to designing novel urban parking schemes.
