Dr Parada is Assistant Professor in the Bioengineering and Chemical Engineering Department at UTEC. She hold a BS in Chemical Engineer (2007) with a Master's degree in Materials Engineering (2011) from the Industrial University of Santander - UIS and a PhD in Materials Engineering and Chemical and Metallurgical Processes from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro - PUC-Rio (2017). She has experience working mainly in the areas of sustainable polymers, lignocellulosic fibers, utilization of agro-industrial waste, composite materials, structural, thermal and mechanical characterization of materials. She has obtained several grants and awards for her work with biobased materials.
