He began his career working in conservation with communities in southern Peru. Later, he focused his research on plant-insect interactions and adaptive mechanisms of plants for pollination. He has worked as a lecturer and advisor at multiple universities, including the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM), the Universidad Privada del Norte (UPN), and the Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC). During this time, he has led and participated in multidisciplinary projects related to pollinator ecology, forest dynamics, and conservation biology, securing funding from institutions such as PROCIENCIA. His experience includes implementing science-based conservation projects, applying strategies adapted to diverse cultural and environmental contexts. He holds a degree in Forest Engineering from the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (Peru), and a Master's and Ph.D. in Human and Environmental Studies from Kyoto University (Japan).
