Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from Osaka University, Japan. Specialist in cellular and molecular biology. Extensive experience in human cell culture, flow cytometry, bioinformatic analysis of transcriptomic data (single-cell RNAseq, bulk RNAseq, and DNA seq), and proteomics. She has worked at prestigious international scientific institutions, including Stanford University (USA) and the University of Campinas (Brazil), where she investigated molecular mechanisms associated with hematological diseases, cellular aging, and hematopoietic stem cells.
As a Professor of Environmental Engineering at the Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC, Peru), her research focuses on studying the effects of environmental pollutants — primarily fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and micro/nanoplastics — on human health using cellular models and transcriptomic approaches. She integrates molecular biology and environmental toxicology to evaluate cellular and molecular mechanisms of damage associated with pollutant exposure, thereby contributing to the development of mitigation strategies and risk monitoring for public health.
