About
The Water Research and Technology Center - CITA was established in June 2017. Its research focuses on "Water, Ecology, and the Environment," with specific lines of investigation including Water Security, Geosciences, Earth Sciences, Water, Atmosphere, and Soil, Biodiversity, Environmental Monitoring and Bioremediation, and Water Resources Management.
To date, CITA has raised over 4 million dollars in research funding from national and international entities such as USAID, Fondecyt, Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and the Wildlife Conservation Society. It has undertaken more than 27 research projects and organized over 30 events and courses on water resources and the environment. The center has established numerous national and international institutional partnerships for research and training purposes. For more information, please visit the website.
