The Energy and Mining Research Group aims to establish an interdisciplinary platform for the development of research, innovation, and training projects in the energy and mining sectors. This initiative spans from basic and applied science to technology transfer, in addition to offering specialized courses on cutting-edge topics for professionals.
In Peru, there is a growing need to develop sustainable mining projects, provide energy to isolated and rural populations, enhance energy security in the northern and southern regions of the country, and modernize the electrical grid. This research group seeks to address these strategic priorities by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among various stakeholders, including academic, business, and government sectors, both nationally and internationally.
