About
The Center for Impact and Social Responsibility (CIRSO) at the University of Engineering and Technology (UTEC) was established in March 2020 with the aim of promoting spaces for debate, research, and social advocacy to address current issues. It seeks to understand these issues in all their multidimensionality, surpassing traditional disciplinary barriers.
CIRSO specifically focuses on education and science dissemination, aiming to promote and disseminate the impact of science, technology, and engineering on society. It also explores the relationship between society, science, and technology to comprehend societal involvement in the management of policies in STI (Science, Technology, and Innovation). Additionally, it addresses university social responsibility by providing parameters to promote projects and actions that incorporate the social component.
